Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TUKOLE, operated by Havic Software Inc ("we", "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use TUKOLE.

What TUKOLE is

TUKOLE is a listing and discovery platform that connects workers and employers in Uganda. We help people find each other - we are not an employer, staffing agency, or party to any work arrangement, payment, or agreement made between a worker and an employer. Any work done, pay owed, or agreement reached is strictly between the two of you.

Who can use TUKOLE

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must provide accurate information when creating a profile or posting a job.
• You're responsible for keeping your account and password secure, and for anything that happens under your account.
• One account per person. Don't create accounts on behalf of someone else without their permission.

Verification and payments

• The verified badge ("blue tick") is a paid feature. Pricing and duration are shown in the app at the time of purchase.
• Payments are processed by Pesapal, a licensed third-party payment provider. TUKOLE does not see or store your mobile money PIN or full card details.
• Getting verified requires uploading a government-issued ID. See our Privacy Policy for how that's handled and retained.
• Verification activates automatically once payment is confirmed. If a payment is deducted but verification doesn't activate, contact us using the details below and we'll sort it out.
• Verification fees are generally non-refundable once the badge has been granted, except where required by law or at our discretion for a genuine payment error.

Your conduct on TUKOLE

You agree not to:

• Post fake job listings, fake worker profiles, or misleading information
• Use TUKOLE for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to another user
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the app's security or verification systems
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

Disputes between users

Since TUKOLE isn't a party to any work arrangement, we're not responsible for resolving payment disputes, work quality issues, or disagreements between a worker and an employer. That said, if you experience harm or serious misconduct from another user, we take that seriously - see our Privacy Policy for how verification records can support a report or legal case. We encourage using WhatsApp or in-person conversations to keep a record of agreements made through the app.

Content you post

You're responsible for anything you post - your profile, bio, photos, job listings, and work samples. Don't post content that infringes someone else's rights, is obscene, or is otherwise unlawful. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the platform, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to other users. You can stop using TUKOLE and delete your profile at any time.

No warranty

TUKOLE is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that jobs posted are legitimate, that workers listed are available or qualified, or that the app will always be available or error-free. Use your own judgment when arranging work or hiring through the app - meeting in a public place for a first conversation is a sensible precaution.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Havic Software Inc is not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from work arrangements, payments, or interactions between users conducted outside the app. Our liability for any issue directly caused by the app itself is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 3 months before the issue arose.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of TUKOLE after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda.
